These Cows Will Be Black, Red, And British White Cross Cows That Are Bred To British White Bulls To Start Calving In March For 60 Days. These Cattle Have Had Bar Vac 7 And BoviShield Gold. This Has Been A Closed Herd And The Cattle Have Not Been Bangs Vaccinated. These Cows Have Been Developed On The Native Prairie And Are Moderate Framed Grass Efficient Cows. Keith and Linda Long reside in the southern Flint Hills by Winfield, KS. The Longs have been building grass efficient cow herd since 1988. The goal of the cow herd is to have moderate framed grass efficient cows with the base cow herd being Red Angus. The Longs started crossing the Red Angus cows on British White Bulls to add hybrid vigor while keeping the females moderate. The Longs graze the cattle on Native Kansas Prairie year round only supplementing with range cubes. These cows have been designed to excel in this year round grazing system while raising a marketable calf and breeding back.Disclaimer
