These Cows Are Bred To Angus Bulls To Start Calving September 5th For 60 Days. The Cows All Carry Year Brand That Is Freeze Brand On The Left Hip. These Cows Have Been Running On Native Prairie In The Red Hills Country Of Southwest Kansas. The Brass Family Believes In Low Input, Fertile, Easy Fleshing Cattle That Can Graze Year Round. The Brass Ranch Cows Are Developed In A Closed Herd System And The Quality Is Second To None. The Cow Herd Has Been On A Vac Program And Will Be Preg Checked Prior To The Sale. With The Continued Drought In The Region The Brass Ranch Has Decided To Sell The Fall Bred Cows. The Cattle Will Need To Be Picked Up By June 13th, 2023. Brass Ranch LLC has been operating for 4 generations in the Red Hills of Comanche County Kansas. Dave and his family take great pride in there ranching heritage and the cows that graze the land. The Brass Ranch runs a closed herd with a focus on moderate framed cows that check all the boxes for fertility, mothering ability, and easy fleshing low input cows. Due to continued drought in their region they are offering an exceptional set of fall calving cows. The Brass along with Pharo Cattle Co. are focused on producing cows that work for the environment, low maintenance - low input cows. While everyone else is focused on increasing pounds per cow (bragging rights), Pharo Cattle Company and customers has always been focused on increasing pounds per acre (profit). Most cow-calf producers struggle to make a decent living because they are focused on the wrong thing. It is much more profitable to produce cows that fit your environment than it is to artificially change your environment with expensive inputs to fit your cows.
