The Heifers Started Calving Feb. 3 And Were Done Calving In 3 Weeks. The Calves Are All AI Sired By GAR Sure Fire. These Cows Will Mature And Be Moderate Framed At 1200-1250lbs. The Bull Calves Have Been Knife Cut. The Cows Have Have Received Vibro Lipto, Cydectin Injectable, And UltraBoss. The Calves Have Been Given 7-way, VistaOnce, Injectable Cydectin, And Ultraboss. Hess Dirt Construction & Farming, Inc. of Protection, KS, is a three generation farming and ranching operation in Comanche County Kansas. The Hess Family runs an Angus and Hereford Base Cow Herd. Their ultimate goal is F1 Baldy calves and producing moderate framed easy keeping females. Due to the continued extreme drought in the area they have decided to sell some young pairs in order to conserve what grass they do have. These animals are in good condition and and have been developed with longevity in mind.
