In 2007 Kiowa Red Angus had their first ever Heart of the Herd cow sale. They have had a sale every year since then. They have sold over 800 head of cows and heifers off the ranch. These cows/heifers have consisted of 1/3 of the ranch's registered cattle, thus the "heart of the herd". These cows and heifers have came from all over the United States. They are and were the start of new Red Angus herds or an investment in existing Red Angus Herds. This will be Kiowa's last Heart of the Herd Sale. This offering consists of the early calvers. This set of cows is bred to raise exceptional calves with growth potential. Kiowa is known for their cattle's feedlot performance.
