Seller Story

Stoltzfus Land and Cattle was established in 1991 in Meade County Kansas. Originally the Stoltzfus Family began in the cattle business running stockers. By the late 90's they started buying cows that they could afford and by 2005 were introduced to Pharo Cattle Co. From there on they were sold on the principles of the Pharo Program. Today there cattle are 100% Pharo genetics and the cattle being offered are 4 generation PCC cattle. The Stoltzfus family are focused on producing cows that work for the environment, low maintenance - low input cows. While everyone else is focused on increasing pounds per cow (bragging rights), Pharo Cattle Company has always been focused on increasing pounds per acre (profit). Most cow-calf producers struggle to make a decent living because they are focused on the wrong thing. It is much more profitable to produce cows that fit your environment than it is to artificially change your environment with expensive inputs to fit your cows. A cow should support the ranch – instead of being supported by the ranch!
