Seller Story

The Larson family is committed to producing a horse that can benefit a cowboy or cowgirl on the ranch or in the arena. They have made a genuine effort find a horse that is cowboy tough and rodeo smart. Tuff's father roped for fifty years in the tie-down roping at rodeos and weekly roping’s hosted by neighbors at local ranches with food, music and just good family fun. Tuff began roping in the late 70's going to a few high school rodeos he took a brief break while serving the country in the Army during the mid 1980's. Upon leaving the service Tuff picked up tie-down and team roping again competing at several rodeos and jackpots. In the 1990's Tuff moved back to Nebraska and with his father's lead on the ranch in the northeast part of the state they began raising a limited number of performance horses. Starting with cow bred mares they used a son of RUNNERELSE to produce colts that were athletic, had speed for barrels and cow sense for roping. In the past twenty years they have maintained the cow-bred mares with stallions that all carry Three Bars breeding. They have found that this cross creates a perfect blend of ranch-performance quality colts. Tuff continues to use his horses day-to-day, be it riding a pasture or in the arena. If you’re looking for your next performance prospect or a good ranching horse you need to take a serious look at these quality bred horses!
