Seller Story

We would like to welcome you to our first annual bull sale hosted by BigIron. We started our adventure with purebred Charolais cattle in the winter of 2016. We purchased a large group of cows from Black Charolais, Bob Black, of Whitewater, Colorado. We have been offering bulls private treaty up until this year. We feel this is the deepest and largest set of bulls we have offered to date. This sale will feature progeny of the great bulls in the industry such as Firewater, Resource, and Monumental. We would also like to welcome our guest consignors Rains Simmentals and Kleinschmidt Farms who having been developing bulls alongside ours for the last few years. We would like to invite anyone who wants to view the bulls to our open house Saturday March 5th. If you can’t make it to our open house please give us a call and we would be happy to show you the bulls at your convenience. All bulls will sell according to the respective Breed Associations rules and regulations

Development and Feeding

These bulls have been on feed test since 10/2/2021 developed on a 57 MegaCal ration. Bulls will be fed until April 1st at the seller’s cost after April 1st there will be a charge of $5.00/head/day. We will do everything in our power to keep bulls safe and healthy, however, once sold, they become property and risk of the purchaser.

Breeding Guarantee

Bulls will sell with a first breeding season reproductive guarantee which includes the first 60 days after turnout. Reproductive injuries must be examined by a veterinarian. If a satisfactory bull is available for replacement, we will replace the bull; if there is no replacement available a sale credit will be awarded, minus salvage value, for a future purchase. This guarantee does not cover death or loss of use and is limited to the purchase price of the animal. If you wish to insure your purchase, insurance will be available.
Before delivery/pickup bulls will be examined by a veterinarian for breeding soundness(fertility).
All non virgin and aged bulls traveling out of state will have passed a trich test, proper health papers and documentation will be provided for any bulls traveling out of state.
We will assist with trucking arrangements for delivery of bulls, but it is buyer’s responsibility to pickup up bulls they have purchased.
